A collection of pictures on how we can recycle computer hardware...
My current favorite is an ancient dumb terminal server I got my hands on. It was built in a cabinet about 6ft. high and weighed plenty. I stripped most of it out and turned it in to a Beer Server. With parts from a local B.Y.O.B. (Brew Your Own Beer) I put the tap and drip tray on the front, and the keging system inside. As soon as I find a refridgerator to fit in here I can make beer year round!
A great way to make use of those old 5 1/4 inch hard drives of the 80's is to make lamps. You've heard of Quantum Mechanics, no? In this example I invented the Quantum Lamp. Using a Quntum MFM 30mb hard disk, a stack of CD's, and a lamp kit you can buy at Sears for about $5, I came up with this.
Coming soon...pictures of other stuff I've made. Included is a full size table lamp from a Tandy 286 as its base, and an easy one y'all can do yourselves. The Mother Of All Clocks, clocks from motherboards.
